Background & Objectives

Facing rapid internal growth and an expanding client portfolio, a blockchain technology company approached ALTOUR with the request to help design, develop and execute an internal training and conference event for their solutions team. The event needed to be located in Europe, with ample meeting space, and plenty of room to grow with fluctuating attendance numbers. And all of this needed to be sourced, contracted, budgeted, planned and executed in less than 4-months.

ALTOUR set out immediately by leaning on our partners in the industry to help us find the meeting space and sleeping rooms needed for the program to operate successfully. After a quick search process, the InterContinental Dublin was selected as the perfect location and property to host the event. The ALTOUR team jumped on board quickly to build a registration website for the attendees, which included the option to sign up for daily fitness activities and pre-register for session tracks. Working together day in and out, the ALTOUR team partnered alongside our client to quickly source and book off-site venues for a large group dinner at the Royal Dublin Society, organize team building opportunities that were local to the Dublin area, and construct menus for the high number of dietary requests and preferences this group is known for. ALTOUR guided the first-time client to success through actionable project plans, quick decision-making, and cultural guidance in planning an event outside of the United States.

Results & Outcomes

The client left Dublin feeling proud of the quick work that was made of this conference and inspired to continue to grow the event in future years. Two major indicators of success the client looked to were the high adoption rate for the mobile app (99%) and positive survey feedback, specifically surrounding the venue and content. The participants left feeling energized about the year ahead, the projects the company were continuing to put resources towards, and better trained to lead one another to success. The client started inquiring about 2019 options before the ALTOUR team even left for the airport.
